general clarification#2

There where a number of teams having problems with compile time errors. Please consult the FAQ to address portability issues. Above all use the code templates.

Here are the list of possible verdicts:

ignore/submission ignored (no penalty)
fail/compile time error
fail/run time error on example data
fail/run time error on test data
fail/wrong output on example data
fail/wrong output on test data
pass/correct!

Unfortunately, the linux kernel may silently kill processes that exceed hard resource (time, space, output) limits. Because of this, it is actually possible that a run time error becomes a wrong output because the data is truncated.
