Getting to Campus

Hawthorn Suites is located on Main Street between 2nd Street and 3rd Street.  Participants staying at Hawthorn Suites can either drive to campus or catch the Grand Valley Transit (GVT).  A map/schedule for GVT is included in the conference materials.  If you choose to ride GVT, you should catch the Red Route to campus and the Blue Route back to the hotel.  If you choose to drive to campus, drive east on Main Street, turn left on 12th Street and drive 10 blocks to North Avenue.  Mesa State College is located on the Northwest corner of the intersection of 12th Street and North Avenue.

Parking (Art Kent x1912)

Free parking is available on both sides of College Place, the street bordering the west side of campus.  On-campus parking is available to conference participants on a restricted basis.  If you have previously notified the conference organizers that you will be driving a car, then you should find a parking permit enclosed in your check-in materials.  Otherwise, please contact one of the conference organizers for a permit.  Parking permits allow parking in specified parking lots only, so please be sure to consult the enclosed parking map.

Computer Lab Access

The computer lab in Wubben 145 (W145) has been reserved for use from 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.  To use the computers, you will need to log in.  At the start up log-in prompt, enter Wub145 as the log-in name, leave the password line blank, and click OK.  Many software applications are available for use through the campus Novell network, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Maple; and Netscape.  If you find the rooms locked, please notify one of the organizers.

Reserved Rooms

We have reserved two classrooms from 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday, for those participants who would like a quiet place to work.  Those classrooms are W198 and W199, and they are located in the same building as the Saccomanno Lecture Hall. If you find the rooms locked, please notify one of the organizers.

Money Exchange

It is difficult and expensive to exchange money in Grand Junction. The organizers have been able to find only one bank that will exchange money.  If you must exchange money in Grand Junction, you can do so only at the Alpine Bank which is located at 709 Horizon Drive. You must exchange a minimum of $50 and will be charged a flat fee of $15 plus an additional 15% for money exchange.  At the bank, ask for Brenda Bryants or Kember Langner.

Proceedings

Proceedings from the conference will be published as a special issue of Rocky Mountain Journal of Mathematics.  The papers will be subject to the standard editorial process of this journal. You can submit your paper to any one of the organizers. The deadline for submitting manuscripts is September 30, 2001.  All conference participants will receive a copy of the proceedings.  The web page for RMJM is given below, and contains a link for author information.  See  http://math.la.asu.edu/~rmmc/rmj/all.htm
