  1. Colorado Eisenhower Professional Development Proposal: FLAME -Fostering Liberal Arts Degree with Mathematics Emphasis Project, June 2001 - September 2002, Cathy Barkley (PI), Lisa Friel, Phil Gustafson, Kim Schneider. This proposal requested support for the development of curricular materials for a mathematics course component of the newly revised Teacher Education Program at Mesa State College. Proposal funded.

  5. NSF Collaborative Research at Undergraduate Institutions preproposal 1995: Mathematical and Physical Modeling of Tail-Rattling in Various Species of Rattlesnakes. The preproposal was co-authored by Phil Gustafson, Dave Saunders, and Ron Keith. The project would have involved undergraduates and faculty from the Divisions of Biology, Mathematics and Physics. 
  6. Emporia State University Internal Funding, 1995: Interdisciplinary Studies in the Sciences. Proposal to purchase computer equipment for interdisciplinary studies program, co-authored by Phil Gustafson, Ron Keith and Dave Saunders. Received funding from the Dean of College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Dean of the Graduate School, the Vice President of Academic Affairs, and from the Divisions of Biological Science, Mathematics and Computer Science, and Physical Science.
