Jump Start in Calculus

Arithmetic, algebra, fractions, exponents, radicals, factoring polynomials, rational expressions, polynomial long division, conjugation and rationalization.

Math Investigations

Problem solving, mathematical models, financial mathematics, set theory, logic, probability, descriptive statistics, and the appropriate use of technology.

College Algebra

Properties and graphs of linear, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and inverse functions; solving equations, inequalities and systems of linear equations; interpreting data and graphs.

Trigonometry & Analytic Geometry

Cartesian and polar coordinate systems; trigonometric functions; properties and graphs of trigonometric; vectors in two and three dimensions; dot and cross product; and equations of lines and planes.

Applied Calculus

Algebraic, periodic, exponential, and logarithmic functions and their graphs; notions of limits, continuity, rates of change, and accumulated change; differentiation; and integration.

Engineering Calculus I

Emphasis on computational aspects. Linear and quadratic functions, limits, continuity, differentiation, integration, the logarithmic and exponential functions, and applications.

Engineering Calculus II

Techniques of integration; trigonometric and hyperbolic functions; inverse, logarithmic, and exponential functions; sequences and series; polar coordinates; and parametric equations.

Calculus III

Three-dimensional space, vectors, functions of several variables, partial derivatives, directional derivatives, multiple integrals, vector fields, and the integral theorems of vector calculus.

Problem Solving (Putnam) Seminar

The William Lowell Putnam Mathematics Competition is an annual contest for US and Canadian undergraduate mathematicians. In this seminar we’ll be solving math problems in preparation.
