Green River Daily

The Green River Daily gets its name because it is run daily by both commerical and private trips.  This short trip is great for doing a bike shuttle on the dirt road that connects the put-in with the take-out.  The water is Class I/II although open canoeists have a good chance of swamping at water levels 6,000 cfs or higher depending on the skill of the canoeist and the type of canoe.  The takeout is at Swaseys Rapid 12 miles upstream of the town of Green River and the put in is at Nefertiti Rapid 20 miles upstream of the town of Green River.  This run is the last eight miles of the 84 mile Desolation-Gray run which requires a permit and a 200 mile shuttle.   The Green River Daily does not require a permit and has an eight mile shuttle which can be enjoyed by bicycle.

All of the following pictures were taken at 10,000 cfs
