On the week of March 3-9, Glenn competed in the
Junior Olympics in McCall Idaho. These were his last ski races of the year.
This competition was divided into the same age classes as the RMD races. The best
juniors from around the country competed in this event. Also, three guests from
other country's competed. A German competed in Glenn's age class, and Glenn beat him
in every race. There was a 1 km sprint, in which Glenn got 35th, a 5 km classic, a 5
km freestyle, and a 3 x 3 km relay. The 5 k course was much like that at Devil's
Thumb. The relay was set up so that the first two legs were classic, and the final
was skate. In the relay Glenn was paired with Kyle Ahern of Summit County, who skied
the first leg, and Simi Hamilton of Aspen, who skied the last leg. The top ten
finishers from the 5 ks and the top five from the relay are shown below.

On February 22 and 23, Glenn competed in the high school state championship meet at Devil's Thumb Ranch and Snow Mountain Ranch. This event took the top 40 skiers from around the state and sent them off at 20 second intervals. The top 10 results are as follows: (Because Plateau Valley has no ski team, Glenn skied for the Colorado Rocky Mountain School, or CRMS)

On Friday, January 4, Glenn, 15, raced at Grand Lake Golf
Course. This name was a little bit deceiving, because there were many trees and some
pretty good hills. This was a 5k classic race for Glenn's age and a 10k classic for
those older. The results of the top ten are as follows: |
Our own Glenn Randall competes on the high school and junior circuit in Colorado. He jumped into prominence last year and qualified for the Junior Olympic team. This year he continues racing well. Notice for example that Glenn is in the 15-16 year old age group but that he does well against the 19-20 year old racers.
The following are junior results to
NRL (National Ranking List) points races on December 8 and 9, in Summit County, and J2
results for the Rocky Mountain Division Qualifying races on December 14 and 15:
(OJs are 19-20 years old, J1s are 17-18, and J2s are 15-16)
