RACE NOTES:          Racers got above the inversion in the valleys and enjoyed a sunny day with mild temps at Skyway. The snow temp was still cold so green wax was the ticket. Skating was a little soft and cold but excellent times were posted.

Glenn Randall again showed us how it’s done with easy wins in both races. In the Classic, Mark Kincheloe placed second leading a closely bunched chase pack including female winner Suzi Evans on her skiis for the first time this season.

We are pleased to welcome Dave and Christi Aschwanden to the area. Dave and Christi ski for the Rossignol national team and have just moved to Cedaredge. Christi won the women’s freestyle in convincing fashion and Dave was second behind Glenn.

We were also pleased to watch Zach Nadiak complete his first ski race at age 10. Other impressive veterans were Vikash Hypio, age 11, Asa Burritt, age 13, and Nilam Hypio, age 8.
