It's very difficult to stay undefeated. Joseph Szekely from Farmington, NM, who pushed Dave Aschwanden at the WinterStart races, returned to the Grand Mesa to eke out a win over Dave in the Grand Mesa Classic 10K ending Dave's long string of wins. It's great to see such fast competion happening on our course. The amazing Christie Aschwanden kept her win streak alive by easily beating all of the women and almost all of the guys again, coming in third overall. Actually, everyone was a winner at this race with wonderful weather, a challenging and thrilling course with beautiful snowcat grooming and lots of goodies to go around.
