AUDITING II SPRING, 2005 POLICIES (This supersedes the generic policy on the home page)

REQUIRED: CONTEMPORARY AUDITING 5th Ed. BY MICHAEL KNAPP (you already have)

AUDITING AND ASSURANCE SERVICES, 10TH Ed, BY ARENS, ET AL (you already have)

COMPUTERIZED AUDITING USING ACL SOFTWARE BY ARENS (you need to purchase)

It is anticipated that grading will be based approximately on:

Presentations - presentations of Audit Cases - 2 with each worth 50 points = 100

ACL Case team presentation - 1 worth 100 points

Cases (Homework) There are 48 questions assigned to be turned in with each worth 5 points = 240

ACL assignments to be handed in -- 12 (use the tear out sheets in the back of the book) with each worth 20 points = 240

Total Possible points = 680

Presentations will be graded by the class, while I reserve the right to adjust the grade plus or minus one letter. The grading will be based on an evaluation form that you will receive in advance. There will be a selection of order of presentation on the first day of class. You may use whatever means of presentation you think would be most effective. That can range from using the chalk board to PowerPoint.

Cases (homework) should be typed (printed) and should effectively communicate your response to the question(s). This includes proper grammar, effective organization, and appropriate/correct conclusions.

ACL homework will be turned in at the beginning of the hour on the tear-out sheets in the back of the booklet.
